Kelby Carr
Kelby Hartson Carr is an Asheville, N.C. mother of three, a seasoned travel writer, and has extensive experience traveling with children. Her work has appeared in newspapers, on news wires, in national magazines, and on the Web.
She has received the National Association of Press Women's first place award for travel writing. By the time her daughter turned 2, she and her family had traveled to six countries together and by nearly all transportation methods, including car, bus, airplane, cruise ship and train.
She operates the Type-A Mom parenting site for and by moms, the Foodie Mama site for foodie moms, and momShare, a social bookmarking site for moms. She is also the editor of the France Travel site for About.com, a New York Times company. She does writing and web development for ExploreAsheville.com.
